Flexible braided connectors

Application

Intended for transmission of electric current between various electric installations, generators, mechanisms, when high flexibility is required to balance the effect of displacements, vibrations, temperature deformations, etc.

Used in

– transformers;
– switchgears; 
– rectifiers; 
– switching apparatus, motors;  
– electrodes, input leads in electrolyzers;  
– storage batteries;  
– capacitors.

Design features

Are available either flat or round. 

Round braided connectors ensure maximum flexibility at bending or displacement towards any direction.

Material of flexible braided connectors:

– copper;  
– aluminium.

Lugs

End lugs of the braided connectors are pressed into a pipe of copper, aluminium or stainless steel under big pressure, or welded to copper or aluminium terminals;

Round flexible braided connectors are pressed in, or welded to standard copper or aluminium lugs.

Flat braided flexible connectors are welded inside an inert gas medium to copper or aluminium contact terminals.

Coating

Depending on each particular case the places of actual connections may be coated by the following kinds of coating:

– nickel;  
– electroplating blackening, tin plating, clarification.
