Rectifier units for high power rectifier sets
Application
The units are intended to complete high power rectifier sets used in electric drives, electrolysis, electrochemistry, electrothermics and other high power consumers of d.c. electric power.
Main advantages
- diodes, thyristors, fuses – of the leading world companies;
- number of power rectifiers connected in parallel is reduced to the minimum;
- design features, which prevent non – uniform current distribution through parallel branches;
- the powerfull flat – pack thyristors and their quick – break fuses of the rectifier units with water and air cooling are mounted on self – supporting aluminium heat – sink busbars which form robust construction secured to the base plate by means of 10 kV support insulators. All the connections of the current connecting buses withim the units are welded. The appropriate geometry of the internal busbar connections ensures better current distribution among the parallel connected branches, which results in high operational reliability due to absence of any supporting elements at earth potential, to the long creepage and long arcing distances. The unit is designed to consider its maintainability under factory conditions;
- nickel – plating by spraying the contacting surfaces for semiconductors, fuses, d.c. and a.c. terminals in order to minimize and ensure stability of contact resistance.
